Our waiting room was designed for the comfort of you and your best friends.

When you walk into South Shore Animal Hospital, you will be greeted by one of our fully cross trained staff members to provide you with the utmost of care.

Each of our exam rooms were designed with your best friend in mind. As shown in this picture, we provide examination lift tables to provide ease and comfort for your beloved pet. We also have computers (with the most modern software) in each room to be able to provide the best paperless medical records. We also keep our examination rooms fully stocked with all equipment needed to provide the most complete examination of your best friend

We also have exam rooms that are equipped with examination tables on wheels. These tables are able to act as transportation devices as well to move an immobile patient to different areas of the hospital. We have four examination rooms to provide to each individual patient's needs.

At South Shore Animal Hospital, we understand how difficult it can be to lose your best friend or to make the choice to end their suffering. You and your best friend’s comfort is our number one concern in tough times, and our caring staff members are there for you every step of the way. This is a picture of our comfort room, and we hope that it helps to lower the stress of you and your best friend.

At South Shore Animal Hospital, your best friend’s needs are our biggest concern. We have a fully stocked pharmacy to provide your pet with the most advanced pharmaceuticals to be sure they have a quick recovery.

In addition to our in hospital pharmacy, we also offer our clients an online store for your convenience. You can buy products from the website and have them shipped to your door. We also offer Pet Portal service (sign in link is available on our homepage) so that you can access your best friend’s medical records, vaccination due dates, as well as request medication refills and appointment times.

Our treatment area was designed as the central area of the hospital. Procedures such as surgical preparation, dental procedures, out-patient care, among many others are performed in this area of the hospital. 

Pictured above is our state of the art dental equipment. With this, our fully trained staff members are able to perform dental prophylaxis and polishing. It is also equipped with a dental drill to be able to perform dental surgery. 

South Shore Animal Hospital also has a state of the art digital radiology machine. This machine provides us with clear images to be able to diagnose your pet with ease. Taking radiographs with this machine is fast as to minimize the stress of your beloved pets. We are also able to practice telemedicine with a wide array of veterinary specialists to provide the best care for your best friends.

Our hospital is equipped with modern laboratory equipment to provide us with diagnostics in just moments. We also have the opportunity to send samples and/or specimens to outside laboratories for more advanced diagnostics.

Pictured is our operating room designed for the comfort, safety, and quick recovery of your best friend. It is equipped with state of the art surgical lighting, anesthetic monitoring devices, heated surgery table, and much more. You can be assured that your best friend will receive only the highest quality care while at South Shore Animal Hospital.

Pictured is our Isolation Room. This room is designed to hospitalize your best friend if he/she ever contracted a contagious disease. It provides an area to practice the best medicine, while also limiting the exposure to the rest of the hospital.

The doors to the isolation room are completely see through so that your best friend is constantly being monitored.

At South Shore Animal Hospital, we know how stressful it can be for your beloved feline to leave his/her home. That’s why we offer spacious cat condos for their stay with us. They have room to move around, perch high and just observe, or lay at lower levels when wanting some extra TLC. They are sure to love their temporary home!

Located in the heart of the hospital is our hospitalized patient ward. Hospitalized patients are monitored constantly for their safety and well being. We have two different sized caging arrangements to cater to the needs of each patient.

In addition to caging, we also offer runs for our less critical and much larger patients.

Four runs are available for the needs of our larger canine friends. They are monitored 24 hours/day to maintain a healthy and comfortable stay with us.

Grooming is available at South Shore Animal Hospital. We strive to provide the best service and will gladly take requests for special grooming services. Our grooming staff has experience in handling, grooming, and bathing your best friend so you can be sure your baby is in good hands!

Our grooming tub was chosen for its unique design and the high level of safety that it provides to our grooming patients.

Our tub even provides a ramp for larger, arthritic or more insecure patients to easily walk in and out of the tub.

Located within the grooming area of the hospital are cages specifically for grooming patients. This provides an area for your best friend to wait for their turn to get beautiful, an area for them to dry (with our heat controlled cage dryers), as well as an area safe from possible contagious diseases in the main area of the hospital.
