Alycia McKee-Nelson
Practice Manager
Alycia has been a veterinary nurse since she was 15 years old. Veterinary Medicine runs in the family,
and she started young helping her Veterinarian Aunt at her practice in Elma, Washington.
Alycia has a passion for top tier patient care and finding the gold standard
for each and every case. Recently, she joined South Shore Animal Hospital as
the Practice Manager. Alycia has worked as an ophthalmic veterinary
technician, an emergency triage nurse, as well as an all-around hospice care
& general practice for the last 12 years. She is well versed in anesthetic monitoring, emergency conditions and routine annual preventative care.
Alycia raised wolves & cougars as
a young adult, and as a technician, she has had the pleasure of handling marmosets,
kinkajous, chinchillas, foxes, kangaroos & many, many other species. Alycia
spends her free time on a boat, running 3ks, or you will find her at home
with her 3 cats. During the progression of her career, she hopes to establish a
relationship with each client and patient here at SSAH and hopes to pursue her
own dreams of working as a Veterinarian in conservation.
