  • Karen Forbes Cingolani, DVM

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Karen Forbes-Cingolani graduated from the University of Florida in 2004 with honors. She is also a member of several prestigious groups including the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners and the Palm Beach Veterinary Society. 
    Dr. Forbes Cingolani worked at a few animal hospitals after graduating from vet school to gather knowledge and refine her skills. From small hometown practices to large clinics with over 30,000 clients, Dr. Forbes Cingolani has been able to adapt and flourish in every environment. She has successfully treated and cared for a wide variety of conditions and ailments such as: cushings disease, addisons disease, diabetes, splenic tumors, ear hematomas, allergies and many more. Dr. Forbes Cingolani also has a special interest in cardiac cases, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.

  • Alycia McKee-Nelson

    Practice Manager

    Alycia has been a veterinary nurse since she was 15 years old. Veterinary Medicine runs in the family, and she started young helping her Veterinarian Aunt at her practice in Elma, Washington. Alycia has a passion for top tier patient care and finding the gold standard for each and every case. Recently, she joined South Shore Animal Hospital as the Practice Manager. Alycia has worked as an ophthalmic veterinary technician, an emergency triage nurse, as well as an all-around hospice care & general practice for the last 12 years. She is well versed in anesthetic monitoring, emergency conditions and routine annual preventative care. 

    Alycia raised wolves & cougars as a young adult, and as a technician, she has had the pleasure of handling marmosets, kinkajous, chinchillas, foxes, kangaroos & many, many other species. Alycia spends her free time on a boat, running 3ks, or you will find her at home with her 3 cats. During the progression of her career, she hopes to establish a relationship with each client and patient here at SSAH and hopes to pursue her own dreams of working as a Veterinarian in conservation.
